About
Built by an advisor who ships.

Ashaylan Moodley CA (SA)
Founder & Managing Director
Ashaylan is a chartered accountant with fourteen years in assurance and advisory. He began his career at KPMG South Africa in audit, then moved into technology assurance, where he served as an Associate Director specialising in technology risk and governance for financial services — working across six major South African banks in CIB, Markets, Retail, Credit and Treasury.
Alongside that career he did something most advisors never do: he built software. MyGenie — Solvex's flagship AI work platform — was designed, built and shipped to production by the same person who will sit across the table from you. That combination is the firm's whole premise: advice grounded in assurance discipline, delivered by hands that build.
Solvex Advisory's first engagement was AI enablement and advisory for a Big Four professional services firm — the standard the firm was founded to meet.

Why Solvex exists
Big-firm rigour, without the big firm.
Large firms bring real discipline — and real overhead, leverage models and conflict constraints. Solvex keeps the discipline and drops the rest: senior work done by the senior person, engagements shaped around your outcome, and software built in-house when the answer isn't a report.
Who we work with
A deliberate shortlist.
We take a small number of engagements at a time, for South African businesses and professional firms whose leadership wants AI working properly — with the governance to defend it. If that's you, the first conversation costs thirty minutes.
